Work Planner Fields and Buttons

Use the fields and buttons on the Work Planner page to build data sets and define the hierarchical organization of the data.

Field Description
Click to create or edit a Work Planner profile using the Work Planner Profiles dialog. When you have made changes but not yet saved them, a appears next to the wrench.
Click to create a link to this page on your home page for easy access.
Click to refresh the display.
Click to add a group. You use groups to organize the data that is displayed in the calendar data grid hierarchically. The data is organized in the order in which you add each group. You can use the following groups:
  • Client
  • Department
  • Job
  • Job Title
  • Location
  • Resource
  • Resource Charge Band
  • Resource Rate
  • Staff Group
  • Task Charge Band

You can drag and drop group buttons to rearrange the hierarchy of the organization of data by group.

Click to access the Data for Current Cell pop-up so that you can add resources and/or tasks to the current cell.

Between Manage Data Pane and Calendar Data Grid

Field Description
Click, hold, and drag to resize the Manage Data Pane and/or the calendar data grid. When you click on this tool, it changes to the resize pane/cell tool .

Click to access the Grid Settings dialog.

Field Description
Click to approve pending allocations. This button is only enabled when there are pending allocations that have not yet been approved.
Click to unapprove pending allocations. This button is only enabled when there are pending allocations that need to be unapproved.
Indicates that there are no changes to save. If there are unsaved changes, this button changes to the (Save Allocations) button; click that button to save your changes.
